Hello lovely subscribers. Sorry this post is a couple days late. I’ve been sick so I had a bit of a delay in editing all my outfit photos, but, without further ado, here’s everything I wore last week:
Monday’s outfit is notable, and not just because I’m wearing shorts in the middle of winter. The blouse is an extraordinary piece that usually spends its days in the back of my closet. It’s a silk chiffon top by Roberto Cavalli with a beautiful print of Gustav Klimt paintings and it’s very, very delicate. Every time I take it out, I find myself looking for inevitable snags and stains, but so far I’ve managed to keep it in pristine condition. I figure there’s no point in having something nice if you aren’t going to wear it though, so I decided to style it for an evening with friends.
Everything else I wore this week feels pretty typical for me. My efforts at organizing my closet have paid off, and it’s easier to put an outfit together every morning, especially for work, where I’m limited to a black and white color palette.
For anyone who’s been following my posts, I have an update on two of them! First off, your Birkenstocks are unfortunately not art, according to a German federal court. I didn’t expect courts to rule in favor of the company’s argument that their footwear was an example of applied art, but I still have to give them credit for trying. Secondly, expect a follow-up article to my earlier post about the Saks 5th Avenue acquisition of Neiman Marcus. The CEO has put out a letter detailing plans for repaying all the vendors that the company owes, but many brands aren’t happy with the terms.
Thanks for reading!
